Ozzy: Describe the feeling of an American Idol hopeful waiting for an audition with thousands of other people. Is there a lot of fear and doubt or are most people there just for the experience?
PK: I can only speak for myself, and I have no problem admitting that I was scared. Making the top 24 was definitely a confidence booster for me. I went to the auditions out of sheer boredom and at the urging of my mother, and wanted to see what happened. Never did I expect to keep making it through round after round. There were so many amazing singers that got cut that very first day at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. It was nice to know that my friends and family believed in me, even more than I believed in myself.
